When applications demand both high strength and outstanding corrosion resistance, 2507 super duplex stainless steel is a proven choice.
What is 2507?
2507, also known as SAF 2507, is a super duplex stainless steel with the following designations:
UNS S32750
EN / W.Nr. 1.4410
Typical composition: 25% Cr, 7% Ni, 4% Mo, 0.27% N
Its balanced austenitic-ferritic microstructure gives it the best of both worlds: the strength of ferritic steel and the corrosion resistance of austenitic stainless steel.
Why 2507 bolts?
High strength: typical yield strength above 550 MPa, allowing smaller bolt sizes with equal or better performance
Excellent corrosion resistance: PREN value above 40, with strong resistance to pitting, crevice corrosion and chloride stress corrosion cracking
Suitable for demanding environments: seawater, offshore platforms, chemical plants, desalination, heat exchangers and oil & gas applications
Long service life: reduces replacement frequency and maintenance costs in aggressive service conditions
Key applications
Offshore and marine engineering
Chemical and petrochemical processing
Seawater and desalination systems
Heat exchangers and pressure vessels
Pumps, valves and high-performance fasteners
